A "gently cooked" diet is made up of minimally processed whole foods and prepared using a low-heat cook process to maximize digestibility, nutrient availability and taste.
It looks like something you might make in your own kitchen, minus the work. You may notice other offerings on the market that seem comparable, but we go above and beyond the competition. At Evermore, we commit to higher quality standards and happily share each piece of the puzzle with you.
We have perfected our time-tested recipes.Evermore has been on the market since 2009. Our protein heavy recipes stand out from the pack. Each of the ingredients on our list serves a nutritional function. We do not use common fillers like legumes, rice and white potatoes. In addition to recommending our food, we are proud to have many vets, trainers and other pet care professionals as customers!

We cook our recipes in a USDA/FDA-inspected "people food" kitchen that is in strict compliance with HACCP food safety protocols. They love making our food, and like us, they taste every batch.

Using a popular low-heat culinary method (sous-vide), we mix our raw ingredients—including meat ground in-house—and then vacuum-seal them in certified BPA-free, food-safe pouches (absent of phthalates and other plasticizers known to increase estrogenic activity). They are cooked at low temperatures (159°F for beef and lamb and 165°F for poultry) for long enough to eliminate dangerous microorganisms, then cooled and frozen. Compared to high-heat canning or even kettle cooking, the advantages of sous-vide include better nutrient retention, increased food safety assurance, and improved flavor.

We take great pride in supporting American ranchers and growers, as well as local small businesses. In fact, more than 90% of our ingredients come from CA and the Pacific Northwest alone!

We lab test every baTch of food to ensure that the food is delicious, nutritionally complete, and free of pathogens, e.g., salmonella, E. coli, listeria, staph (S. aureus), mold, yeast, total coliforms, and aerobic plate count (APC).
